Ways to grow

GROWING IN CHRIST

Discipleship pathway

We run various ministries at E5 – from Junior church to our Kings club to our Mens and Women groups, there is something for all ages and backgrounds here at E5. If you have been to a church service and visited a Connect Lunch, then these options are avaiable to you.

Our ministries are focussed on discipling each other on becoming more like Jesus. Here you will find pathways for those exploring faith, exploring discipleship and exploring church. Check out the video for more information.

We believe in creating pathways for anyone we are connecting with, whether they are new to faith or have years of experience in church. This is not a hierarchy of programme, it is however, a recognition that we can journey with people whatever they need to explore next for them. Below you will find a all the information about the courses and spaces we offer to meet you where you are at, and hopefully, journey forward together.

OUTSIDE OF SUNDAYS: GROUPS FOR EVERYONE

MIDWEEK GATHERINGS

Students

E5 Students is home to a wide variety of 18 – 25 year olds who are looking to take the next step on their faith journey. Throughout October and November each year we host meals every Sunday at 1pm to welcome students to the city. We want to provide the opportunity for young adults to gather together as a community, grow their faith in Jesus then go out and make an impact on the world for Jesus.

To find out more or ask any questions about E5 Students, send an email to Olu, our Youth & Students Leader at olu@elimbristol.org

Prayer Meeting

Join us each Tuesday as we pray together as a church family. This is open to everyone, whatever experience we have of prayer. We take time to worship, to pray into different subjects and to grow in our relationships with God. It is also a brilliant way to meet people in the church, and get to know us as a church community.

EXCEL RECOVERY

Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Excel Recovery is a small group for people and their families afflicted by all forms of addiction.

To disciple those in recovery to live a spirit led life, free from the cycle of addiction and empowered to reach the potential Christ has place in them.

Is it optional? Come and find out what the Bible has to say.

KINTSUGI HOPE & Freedom in Christ

The stress and demands of modern living are taking their toll on our mental health and wellbeing. The majority of us may feel the affect, but don’t fully understand the cause. Many of us don’t even feel comfortable talking about our mental wellbeing.

A Kintsugi Hope Group is a safe and supportive space for people who feel or have felt overwhelmed. Over 12 sessions, we will discuss issues such as disappointment, loss, anxiety, anger, perfectionism, shame and resilience. The group is suitable for anyone wanting a better understanding of themselves and their emotions.

Through individual and group activities, and the support of the other group members, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the reality of God’s love for them, increase their confidence and self-worth, and grow towards a more resilient and hopeful future.

The Freedom In Christ approach is discipleship that will help every Christian to become fruitful disciples.  This course is suitable for both new and Christians and those who have been Christians a long time.

The course focuses on establishing your identity in Christ, and then equips the believer with tools to help them break free and stay free. Focused on firstly establishing every Christian in the sure foundation of their identity in Jesus, it gives them the tools to break free and stay free   from all that holds them back in life and being a fruitful disciple, and a strategy for ongoing transformation.

Partnership course and small groups

The E5 Partnership conversation is a two-part informative and open look at what it means to be a church member. It is not a lifetime membership to a club or just ticking a box, but a commitment to our vision and values that will be shared on the day. This is also where most people get placed into small groups.
